If you look at human history, what we are experiecning now is not much different. People struggle with greed, lust, pride, wrath, envy, gluttony and sloth. There is really nothing new in the world. That's why the teachings of Jesus, Bhudda and Confusias still applies today.
A friend of mine shared a book from a Japanese author. I told her that the oroginal concept is from the Bible 😅.
Yes, I am convinced that "people" have changed little, if at all, throughout our history, and geography and culture only sit on top of a common nature we all share. A nature that can guide us to "right" behaviour.
I think about all the books and stories that were lost over the thousands of years, and how we rest so much weight on the books that survived, and their authors. Everything we have owes a credit to those who came before.
This topic has actually been on my mind quite a lot lately.
Everyone has their own version of truth. Two versions of the same truth may very well be accepted. People may have valid intentions. But, that doesn't mean there is no right or wrong. There are still facts. There is still what is human and what is moral.
Drawing a difference between truth and facts, that is a very good way to view the subject. Of course we all exist in the same natural universe, but Nature allowed minds that see it differently. 🙏🏻

I don’t think it’s lost. Time is the best alchemy. That’s why as I get older, I started to appreciate traditions, rituals etc.
As Nassim Taleb pointed out, Lindy Effect— things that have lasted a long time are more likely to continue lasting.
A truism that works for and against our progress ☺️ I also appreciate the history and art more.
